Charity Endorsement

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

This is to confirm that Crohn’s and Colitis UK is aware that Ted Baybutt is fundraising for the charity by hosting a Film Premiere ‘Chasing The Bear’ Event on 18th September 2010 at 10:30am.

Crohn’s and Colitis are both forms of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD).  Over 180,000 people, of all ages in the UK, suffer from these conditions and diagnosis is generally between the ages of 10 and 40.  The causes are unknown and there is no cure.  These are incurable and life-changing illnesses that often start in teenagers and young adults and last for a lifetime with the disease flaring up at unpredictable times.

Symptoms can include relentless diarrhoea; bleeding; severe pain; exhaustion; eye, skin and joints problems and, in the case of children, impaired growth.  The conditions can therefore have a devastating impact on education, work, social and family life.

Crohn’s and Colitis UK offers support and information to people of all ages who are living with IBD.  The charity raises funds for vital medical research to identify the causes and improve treatment, and also works to increase awareness and understanding of the conditions.

We would be grateful if you could extend your support to Ted in endeavours to raise funds for us and Research into Crohn’s.

If you would like further information about our work do please telephone me or visit our website, address of which is given below.
